One of my favourite clips from one of my favourite movies. I hope Wes Anderson’s next movie reaches the heights of Rushmore or The Royal Tenenbaums rather than the lows of The Darjeeling Limited.

People keep saying this to me. I really didn’t enjoy it. I loved Zissou, but I didn’t enjoy The Darjeeling Limited at all. Perhaps I was in the wrong frame of mind – I watched it at 2am on a Saturday night, on my lonesome.

That could be it! My expectations were low – I’d heard lots of negative things about it, and put it off for a couple of years – but really loved it. My opinion of it might be swayed a little by my love of their suits and my Schwartzman mancrush …

I’ll rewatch it and keep it in mind. I watched it shortly after watching Rushmore, which probably wasn’t a brilliant idea.
